Upon completion of the course, a proficient student will have a basic knowledge of finance and economics, accounting principles and taxation issues, and consumer credit and protection. Students prepare for the world of financial investment by examining principles of investment portfolio, investment assets, and participating in a simulated investment challenge. Upon completion of the course, a proficient student will be able to create financial goals, explain multiple types of investments and associated risks, and create diverse investment portfolios based on investor goals and specific stages in life.
